When playing Coral Island on PC, I can stand in the middle of a 3x3 grid and interact with all 9 squares without moving by moving the mouse to the square I want to interact with and right-clicking. When playing using a controller, however, I need to line up my character with the square I want to interact with before pressing 'X'.
I primarily play Coral Island on my Steam Deck for convenience reasons, and I would like some help with setting up the game so that I can mimic that PC behavior I described above. This isn't my first time adjusting a Steam Deck layout to meet my needs, and I've created my own custom layout that directs the Steam Deck to treat moving my thumb over the right trackpad as moving the mouse and pressing the trackpad as right-clicking (interact in the keyboard/mouse controls).
That brings me to the issue I need help with: Coral Island is (largely) ignoring the
"mouse" input. Inside of menus, I can see the cursor just fine, move it with the right trackpad, etc., but outside of menus, touching the touchpad does not make the cursor appear. I imagine this is because the game is in "controller" mode, and I don't know how to get around it. Anyone have any ideas?
