#is this bug bugged?

so I've come across this insect a few times (actually think it's a spider but I'm not 100%, I know there's a recipe with spider but I haven't actually caught any arachnids before)
aside from the fact that it's fast, it doesn't seem to be catchable with the net? like hovering your aim over it doesn't outline it the way it does with other bugs. Am I missing something here? Is there another tool for catching spiders, is there something I need to do before I can start catching them?

that's the black widow spider, and it's FAST! upgraded net or a trap will help

Yeah once they see you and the exclamation point is out you can’t catch them even if they show green

#

Same with blue morpho butterfly and a lot of other ones

Thing is I've upgraded my net to osmium level and I'm using the lures, and I never even get the green outline. It feels like the spider reacts to my movement but isn't actually interactable

Your best bet may be traps then but it’s definitely doable

I've got some traps placed around town, I'll make some more and pray to Eleanor the spider's having an off day 🙂

I've gotten the tiger beetle and other difficult insects/critters this way.

Ready your net and hold it, stand in front of or right behind wherever it's about to go next and let it fly it walk into your net

I've only ever managed to catch spiders with traps they're SO fast 😭🤣
