Problem with my multiplayer game

Hello,
I have a well-progressed multiplayer game — we’re currently in the spring of the third year. However, for the past few days, my partner has been unable to join the game. I’m the host of the save and everything works fine on my end, but my partner can’t connect. They get a long loading screen, then are sent back to the main menu with the following message: “The connection is unstable or unavailable.”

We’ve already restarted the game and our computers several times. We’ve also rebooted our internet router. My partner even uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but nothing has worked.
Could you please help us? Thank you.

Ah I see! May I ask if your partner have tried switching their network before connecting? And just for testing, are you able to join any MP session they hosted?

Yes, we’ve both switched networks several times. Other multiplayer sessions work fine. I have another multiplayer session with a different partner (I’m the host), and there are no connection issues

My friend and I are also playing on PC Steam! We have tried switching networks, but we haven’t tried swapping hosts. Is there any way to transfer over save files so that I can host our preexisting save? I can also make my own ticket if that is needed.

hmm yayaya if you can try joining their game as a guest just for testing, it might help determine if it's a connection issue or not!
