Softlocked out of changing keyboard controls

I was messing around with my settings and set my cancel control to "E" which is also the "apply new controls" key so I couldnt change my cancel control to something else anymore because to apply I had to press E which automatically cancelled it and made me exit without saving.

Had to grab a controller and apply the new settings with a button on my controller

Got it! After you applied the changes using the controller, did they save or apply correctly, so the Cancel button didn’t conflict with the Apply button?

Also, do you happen to have any video or screenshot showing the issue?

I dont have a video but yeah I changed my cancel button to E and applied it.

After applying it I wanted to change it and went into the settings to change cancel into a different key and when I wanted to apply, it still used the old controls because the new ones weren't applied yet so cancel and apply were on the same keybind and made it impossible to apply anything new.

I plugged in my controller to press apply since the controller has a completely seperate set of controls/keybinds which worked fine and got me out of the lock
