I have joined a multiplayer session from my ps5 to a host game that has been created trough steam, created a new character and then due to constant crashes on ps5 I have decided to buy a game on steam to eliminate that. I have bought game on steam and tried to join that same character i created on my ps5 and i dont have an option now to select it, I can only create a new character. Why is that? Should I not be able to select any character that does not have a player playing currently on it?

Hi @hollow locust , thank you for reaching out to us! As of now, the intended design is for each character to be linked to one account. So if you made the character through an account on PS5, then you'll only be able to play the same character through that PS5 account.
