I’m having an issue with the multiplayer/co-op mode and I cannot connect at all. Here’s a detailed summary of what’s happening:
Description of the problem:
When I try to enter multiplayer, the game says I’m not online and asks me if I want to log in.
I click “Yes,” it goes to “Waiting for connection…” and then eventually gives an error: Cannot connect / Try again later.
This happens every time, and I cannot join my friend, even though she is on the same internet connection in the same house and has no issues connecting.
What I have already tried:
Checked firewall and antivirus: Coral Island (two entries) is allowed for both private and public networks.
Disabled Windows firewall completely → issue persists.
Verified game files / reinstalled the game → issue persists.
Ran the game as administrator.
Reset TCP/IP and DNS using netsh winsock reset / netsh int ip reset / ipconfig /flushdns → issue persists.
Updated network drivers → issue persists.
Tested different networks (previous home and current home) → issue persists.
Checked that my Steam account is online, without restrictions, and Family View is disabled.
Made sure there are no VPNs or virtual adapters active (Hamachi, VirtualBox, TAP adapters).
Tried changing DNS to Google (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) → issue persists.
Additional info:
My friend can connect on the same network with her PC, so it seems the problem is specific to my account or my PC.
This issue existed even when I was on a different internet connection, so it seems less likely to be a network issue.
I have not yet tested the game on another PC using my account.

Please advise how to fix this. I suspect it may be a bug with my account or some corrupted network/configuration settings on my PC.
