#Xbox <> PS5 crash.

We’re facing an issue between ps5 and xbox - the game completely crashes mid-play and I have to rejoin again. My connection also shows red (too high) ms
Even tho we’re both using the same wifi and in same room.

  • XBox series S is the host
  • XBox ping is 0, PS5 ping 140-160ms, although both consoles are in the same room
    +it crashed during harvest festival and not allowing me to rejoin. (Ps5) .. farm owner is on xbox
  • we had to reset multiple days bcuz of crashing on his xbox too.

Disconnected on harvest day and keeps showing this. All the previous times I was used to rejoining every time it crashes

Just to confirm—SUMMER is playing on PS5, and KADRY is hosting on Xbox, right? And the crash that happens on PS5, showing the “connection failed” and error report like in the image? 😮

As for the Xbox side, when the game crashed, did you see a “connection failed” pop-up, or did it just take you straight back to the Xbox home screen?

When the PS crashes, I can continue playing on the xbox, just says that Summer got disconnected, so I either continue for a minute, or I pause globally till she rejoin

Correct on the ps5 points
I’m playing on ps5 and he’s on xbox
For extra context: (ps5 side)

  • I noticed it doesn’t crash if I’m fishing or mining. Happens on diving and while tending to the farm or picking and placing items or machines etc
  • internet speed or ms is stable, green/fast during hotspot connection, but still crashes. And crashed on harvest festival while on hotspot connection
  • I joined his mp farm while he had alrd made progress in it, he was on his 2nd year and I just joined once the update released (does that contribute to the errors?)
  • also, I even tried playing my solo farm again but it also crashes. (Never happened before the update)
  • lab unlocked development items for one character doesn’t unlock for the other character.
  • he’s way more progress than me but I have the slime replicator unlocked while he doesn’t, etc and vice versa on several other items
  • btw, we are able to duplicate our tools without having to upgrade both by “retrieving missing items” 😁 pls don’t fix that (I never told u).. not all the tools tho
  • we were able to get married once I joined the farm while my room is upgraded lv1 (the free upgrade), and his room is lv2. After marriage, we upgraded his room to lv3 (unlocking room upstairs with a door) when attempting to enter said door it says (access once you’re married), but we r alrd married. Are we supposed to upgrade my room too so it merges or what?
  • oh and, while attempting to replace machines with pickaxe, it says other player is using it (not true) and not even able to using the architecture desk. But that was fixed after a couple days when we discovered we can only remove them with the AXE instead!?

Oh and we also reinstalled the game and removed cashes etc as per ps5 recommendations for the issue

Here are some of the other reported crashes that the teams are currently addressing, which might be related to your case, too:

  • Crash when harvesting or picking up items from a mushroom log
  • Crash when removing a battery from a solar panel

Now, based on the info that SUMMER provided:

  • Do you remember what you were doing right before the crash happened when you were playing solo? And how many times has it occurred?
  • Regarding the Lab Development Equipment: this is currently intended, as players are required to upgrade it themselves.
  • For the Slime of Replication: this unlocks at Combat level 10 Mastery. Could you check if your partner has also reached Combat level 10? Progressing further doesn’t necessarily unlock the same things, since they may have unlocked other perks instead 🙂
  • The duplicated items issue when using Retrieve Missing Tools is a known bug, and we’ve reported it to the team 😋
  • The bug where clicking on the Spouse Room shows the message “It’s locked but will become available once you’re married” has also been reported, and the team is working on it.
  • For the artisans that can’t be removed and show as if another player is using them, could you let us know which artisan specifically? 😮

Ok

  • about playing solo; sorry I don’t remember I stopped trying after that one time, I just wanted to know is it only on mp or both. If I ever try again and it crashes I’ll let u know. However it should fall in the picking/placing items as well since it was beginning of day

  • furnace, recycling bin, extractor, mayonnaise machine: but was able to remove a couple days later with the Axe, been using it since

Dropping this in case hasn’t been acknowledged
.. crashed mid-game while diving about 6pm then unable to open game and this is the screenshot while trying to rejoin, says “connecting to server” then crashes or just stays there.. wasn’t trying to pick anything at that moment, i opened the map and closed it to see where i wanna go and started moving before it crashed.
And then when tried to open game it says check for updates
this scenario repeats multiple times till it allowed me to open game but unable to join the mp farm from the beginning

Before the latest crash, do you remember how many in-game days you had played? And what kind of activities were you doing during that day?

Not sure I can remember this
.. my solo farm is on year 2, spring
Mp i joined in his year 2, mid or late summer
Can’t state one thing I was doing as I have already reported things on spot
If u r talking about this final crash that’s blocking me from playing, I was diving, opened a menu and closed it, as detailed in my message above
