#Calico Lobster PS5 spawns

I'm playing on PS5 and the Calico Lobster is the only critter left I need for the museum (still also need 1 fish, 1 shark and 1 bug)
I'm on Fall year 3 (been diving since Summer year 1 and cleared the ocean Summer Year 2) and I haven't seen a single one.
I've checked computer for the rough location, checked wiki and other guides and narrowed it down to the 20-30m depths.
I've laid traps from the cave in area 2 all the way to the undersea farm and all I catch are starfish.
Google Gemni once said that the Calico Lobster is bugged and doesn't spawn at night but as far as I can see it doesn't spawn in the day to compensate for this.

I have a similar issue with a blue butterfly that spawns in summer only on windy days.
Problem with this one is, Summer year 3 only had on windy day (on day 1) and never again.
It's annoying to have to wait a full in-game year for one bug.

Hi @lunar lodge , Thank you for reaching out to us! Aside from the Calico Lobster, could you please let us know the name of the butterfly you’re having trouble with? Also, after checking the computer, have you tried going directly to the location to see if you can find the critter that way? 😲

The bug in question is the Blue Morpho Butterfly. Only spawns in Summer on Windy days.
As for the Lobster, I go go to the area every day to check the traps, day time and night time, but all I see are seahorses, hermit crabs and starfish.
Part of me wants to cover the entire silver kelp area with traps but that's a lots of resources to use for one critter before never using them again after (unless the temples I haven't reached yet require critters)

I known it's supposed to be super rare but I've found practically every other super rare creature without too much hassle but not seeing a single one in 3 years is a bit much

Thanks so much for providing us with additional information @lunar lodge ! If you notice the Calico Lobster spawning from the sturdy computer, could you please record the location shown on the computer and then go directly to that spot to see if it actually spawns there? A simple phone recording would be perfect and would really help us with our investigation!

You can zoom into the map to see exactly where each critter is located. If the calico lobster doesn’t appear on the sturdy computer’s map, it means it won’t spawn in the game.

Do you mean 54sec in? Because as far as I knew there isn't a further zoom option... is there?

You can zoom in and out on the on the screen. I'm not sure what the button is on the ps5 controller but for keyboard and mouse it's the middle mouse button. So maybe try the common zoom button for games on your controller.

There's no "straightforward" answers online. Whenever you use PS5 controls and Coral Island with Sturdy Computer, it mostly shows people asking how to move the Sturdy Computer on PS5 or just PS5 controls in the game in general

Maybe try Googling how to zoom with ps5 controller. I think with controllers it's usually a combination of buttons

Wouldn't that just zoom in the screen, not the map itself?
I doubt there'll be any dots showing up. Most people asking about that were told the Sturdy Computer only shows them as a possibility not a certain.
My original complaint still stands [it's too rare or the spawn programing is broken (since I'm entering winter year three and still haven't seen it once despite checking everyday, both wild and in traps)]

Check your controller binds in the settings it should show your zoom buttons.

Checked, found R1 + Right Stick Up to zoom in Right Stick Down to zoom out.
It worked! Now to find it!
Now left to find after that are:
Blue Morpha Butterfly (Summer Windy).
Hammerhead Shark (Mid Fall and Mid Winter, not sunny weather).
Yellowfin Tuna (same wather as hammerhead shark but Winter only).

Just started Year 3 Winter Day 1, i got til the end of this (ingame) month to find it before having to wait until Summer
