Game Stuttering in 1.2

Hi,

It looks like stuttering is still an issue. I attached two videos: one usilizing the steam deck default settings, the other using low presets.

Stuttering is present in both. Additionally, the stuttering occurs on my PC as well as on PS5.

Just to confirm, are both of the videos you shared above tests on PS5 and PC? 😮

Also, could you let us know your game version? Have you already updated to the latest one, v1.2-1240?

Both videos are from my steam deck OLED.

I can get video from ps5 or pc as well if you would like. Issue remains with the stuttering in the same areas, just different levels of stuttering.

Game version is 1.2-1240

Thank you for sending the video! We’ve taken a look at it, but unfortunately didn’t notice any stuttering 🙁
Could you please point out where it happens and at which timestamp? 😮

The stuttering is happening exactly at the same times as the previous video while running arounfd town loading assets. It's not as obvious on the PS5 but it is still stuttering while going up the stairs and also around 0:26 near the general store.

Is there any update on this stutter issue? Seems like an issue for multiple people wanting to play but I haven’t seen these issues acknowledged in dev logs or known bug reports.

Hello again @deep finch, really sorry for not getting back to your latest follow-up sooner, and thank you again for sticking with us on this. I’ve forwarded your latest video to the team, and they’ve reviewed the stuttering especially around the stairs and the General Store.

For the Steam Deck specifically, this is something we’re actively working on. The team has identified the root cause, and a fix is currently in progress. We’re hoping to get that resolved soon so the experience feels smooth again 🙏
