Lockets given but hearts still locked.

I gave my final 3 lockets to the merfolk to unlock the 8+ hearts and they accepted them.

I then gave a wedding ring to Pablo on the same day. Went straight to bed afterwards.

Woke up the next day and the merfolk are still locked at 8 hearts as though I never gave them a locket. So now I can't get to 10 hearts with the merfolk.

Could you let us know what in-game date and time you gave lockets to Merfolk and when you gave a wedding ring to Pablo?

For now, if it helps, it was during fall yr 2 when the merfolk were on land. So some time around the 22nd

could this be why? they removed dating after marriage

@rich crypt last we were told there was not dating after marriage unless they changed that in the new hot fix and we weren't told

I gave the lockets to the last 3 folk before I proposed, it just didn't "stick", I think because I gave the lockets and proposed on the same day.

Dating after marriage has still been removed. Once you married; dating afterwards of others is over, whether you gave them a locket or not

I know. But I could still get to 10 hearts with everyone for full game completion. Now I can't.

Here's the pic of my merfolk relationships. As you can see, the hearts are still locked despite them accepted the lockets

Oh also, a development... I can now hug the merfolk. So it's just the hearts locked but can still do things as though I was dating them

which is also why in feedback we have people asking about friendship bracelets so that we can get everyone to 10 hearts

Regarding the issue where Merfolk datables’ hearts stay locked even after giving the locket—the team is aware and currently investigating this.

I've played for ages. I know how the game works. What I'm referencing is a clear bug, not to do with the relationship dynamics.
