I was farming in the Lima Pulu cave, when I got to this room with only 1 door that wouldn't open even when I cleared every last piece of trash in it, functionally blocking me from clearing any more trash for the rest of the day.
Reproduction Steps: Clear trash in Lima Pulu cave
Repro Rate: No idea, this is the first time I've been exploring in a cave.
Game Platform: Steam
Game Version: 1.2-1239
Input Mode: KB+M
Left door is the one I came through, top door won't open despite having cleared every single piece of trash.

Not sure if this is a related bug or not, but since I couldn't continue in the 4th cave, I went back to the 1st one. Ended up in a room where the door visually unblocked, but still wouldn't allow me to pass through it until I cleared more trash. You can see at the beginning of the clip I can't pass through to the left, then I clear the trash, then it lets me in. (I had tried multiple angles/approaches before starting recording, they just didn't make it into the recording.)

I switched to playing a multiplayer save file with a friend I got into the game, so I haven't gotten back to the caves yet to tell you how often I've run into it since. I'm also not sure if the issue I experienced in the 4th cave (original post) was related to the issue I experienced in the 1st cave (#1417088656048390144 message, right above your message), or if they were completely separate in root causes.
As far as frequency, I would say I did maybe 10-15 rooms in the 4th cave before running into the impossible progression, and 5-10 in the first cave before running into the visually delayed door.
Depending on whether they're the same bug or not, that would determine if it's the same cave or not. 😂 I'm trying to get back to the caves on the co-op file, will let you know if I run into it more there or in a few days if I haven't. (And at some point I'll also probably return to my single player file when people aren't around to keep testing there too, since that was where I originally ran into the problem.)

Just encountered the issue again on my first cave run in multiplayer, though it took much longer. I was in my 32nd or 33rd room in the 4th cave, again, cleared all the trash, no door opening.
Now just had it in the 3rd cave. All trash cleared, less than 10 rooms in.
(North was the entrance, west was the entrance on the previous one)
again in the second cave. Wonder if I can complete the set and lock all 4 caves in 1 day lol
The answer is yes, I can. Albeit barely.

Just had it happen again the next day that I was actually dedicating to cave-clearing. (There was one day in-between, but I only had about 200 energy so..) So it seems like "as long as you start with full energy and day time, you will inevitably run into this" is the frequency.

In case it helps at all, I've not run into the visually bugged door again since the first time, but I've run into the "room fully cleared, doors remain closed anyway" one 20+ times now. It's extremely reliable to encounter.
