Hi @random grove , thank you for reaching out to us! To help us better understand the issue, could you please provide more details about when exactly you experienced the FPS drop? For example, does it happen during specific activities or when entering certain areas in the game? Any additional information you can share would be really helpful, thank you
I'll go ahead and mark the other posts as duplicates so we can continue with the report in this thread!
I'm playing Coral Island in solo and multiplayer ( 2 persons total), when I first start a game I have about 300-400fps, as I keep playing, over time the AVG FPS drops significantly, eventually ending up at 60FPS but dropping to 20 every seconds causing bad stutter.
Any ideas how to fix it ?
Specs :
Ryzen 7 7900X3D
AMD 7900XTX OC
32GB DDR5 RAM
WD Black SSD
Windows 11
The frame drops only happen after 2-3hrs continuous play, and once I reboot the game it's fine again
Could you share your in-game FPS settings here so we can take a closer look?
It's unlimited FPS and Vsync off. Game is on max settings graphically
Open task manager or resource monitor and watch for when this happens. Even though 32GB sounds like a lot, I'm willing to bet you are running out of RAM - that's the most logical explanation for it happening after 2~3 hours of gameplay.
This may be due to memory leaks from the game, but also may just be due to other things your machine is doing.
I experienced this before where I would run out of RAM and Windows would switch to using the pagefile which absolutely TANKED performance in whatever I was playing. At that point I just had to restart the PC. Eventually upgraded to 64GB of RAM and never had that problem again. ๐
Have you had a chance to try adjusting your Quality Preset settings to High or Ultra, and setting your FPS limit to 60 or 120? Sometimes these changes can help resolve the issue, let us know how it goes for you!
