I recently started a new game and everything was working smoothly until the Beach Clean Up Festival.
When I arrived on the beach it was the usual set up and the festival decorations and events hadn't been triggered. I tried approaching the beach from a few different angles and even tried going back and forth from farm to beach to see if the map needed a reload to no avail. I shrugged and counted it a loss.
The following day everyone had their dialogue as if I had missed the festival and it went on without me.
I've played deeply into the beta and done this festival multiple times so I just sighed and continued on, figuring it was a one time glitch and I was trying to attend it too late in the in-game day cycle.
But now the same thing has happened with the Harvest Festival. The special NPCs were present in the town square but once again the festival area was not set up or triggering, even arriving RIGHT on time for the event. Again, the following days the characters referenced the Harvest Festival accordingly as if I chose note to attend.
This did NOT happen with the previous Animal Festival or Tree Planting Festival.
