My irl husband and I got married in the game days ago and we both have fully upgraded houses. The extra bedroom when you get married tho still says it's locked until we get married. Am I missing something?

It’s not meant to be unlocked because it’s an extra room for the npc spouses. A hobby room of sorts. Since you are both playing together you don’t technically need that room
But if you had another friend and they still wanted to marry an npc they would have that option to and when they choose to get married that room would open
