flashing squares while playing on steam

I'm not sure if this has been reported or not but when playing on my PC I noticed little square blocks flashing during game play it would just be random little spots, i made sure to check my graphics and that my PC is good to run it and everything on my end seemed fine, it would happen on just random little spots, or in the plants. It happens quite frequently.
also, side note i appreciate everything y'all are doing ❤️

Hi @glass fox , thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! Could you let us know what you were doing in the game when the issue happened? Also, if the issue happens again, could you record a video and send it here so we can take a closer look?

Oh, additionally, could you let us know which platform are you playing from (Steam/Xbox PC)?

Sure can! I’m trying to get my kiddo to lay down so I’m not currently playing but the second I get a chance to I will, on my PC is how I was playing, it got super bad if it was raining and I was on the beach, tried lowering my graphics but that didn’t fix it and I have a pretty powerful pc so it shouldn’t be an issue on my end, it would also happen where the edge of the screen got blurry on the beach, I’ll just try and get a video of the whole thing because I ended up just not playing and closed the game.

in the video it was more the edge of the screen but sometimes it would happen in the middle as well with the squares

PS5 has this same issue. most noticeable when running towards the lower part of the screen. Sometimes white like in the picture/video above, and sometimes it is green as well.

Yeah I’m not playing till it’s fixed which makes me sad bc I love this game but it just ruins my whole motivation to play

I’m starting to wonder if I need to uninstall and reinstall or something bc I just tried to play on my laptop and it didn’t do it but my laptop has worse specs than my desktop and my desktop has a wider screen 🥺 I just wanna play on my nice pretty new computer 😂

Thank you for sending in the video and screenshots, they'll be incredibly helpful! Just to confirm, does the issue only occur when it's raining, or have you noticed it happening during other weather conditions as well? Also, aside from the beach, could you let us know which other locations you've seen the issue occur in? Any details you can share will really help us in looking into this further!

It happens on the farm and while walking near the ranch even without the rain but I noticed it gets worse on the beach regardless of weather, I have a really really good gaming pc but even so I lowered settings to make sure it wasn’t a issue with my computer and it still kept doing it.

Also the edges idk if you can see or not get very blurry and funky looking😅 i have literally never had a bug in this entire game before and i got it back when it was still early access and now it’s just funny to get a bug that makes me not wanna play 😂😭

Thanks for sharing some additional detail! Could you confirm if the issue still persist if you change into Windowed or Full Screen mode? 😲

I can confirm the same on PS5 as well. Dashing seems to cause it to be worse. It's like it's trying to load the textures but takes a second to do so.

I have noticed some of the same issues when I play on my ultrawide monitor on PC. I don’t think I’ve noticed it on my steam deck, but I also don’t play as often on my steam deck.

Don’t think its my graphics card, I’m using a 7900XTX. I do know it gets worse after long play sessions (2-4+ hours) then sometimes crashes after long play sessions (4+ hours usually) and usually while dashing or if i tabbed out and left it on pause in the background. AMD then askes for a crash report after that and then I have to force close the game with task manager

Thank you for testing it out and I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing similar issue @sacred tree @crystal elbow 😢 If you're playing on PS5, could you share more detail on the location and weather when the issue happens? And does reinstalling the game resolve the issue?

And for those who play on Steam, could you send a screenshot of your in-game graphics preset and try to verify your file integrity to see if it resolves the issue? To do so, go to your Steam Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files

Yep I’ve got a curved monitor so maybe that’s it and @fervent mural I’ll get a screenshot of that in just a bit I’ve tried every graphics setting but I’m running a 5070 so it really shouldn’t be that.
