Reproduction Steps: I had a baby with a NPC (Lily) then I noticed after the childbirth event the hearts are locked similar to pets as a Guest

Do you remember the in-game date when you first had a baby with Lily?
Also, could you share the SaveGames folder (zipped) from the Host? You can find it by copying and pasting this path into File Explorer:

I've had this as well. 28th Winter and its now 12 spring and no heart unlocks. I have had the same with the pets as well

Yeah, I think the save file that we sent to you is around Year 3 already in Spring, a few days after the cherry blossom festival.

Still no progress seen or any change in terms of heart progression with the child

I tried for about a week after the birth of the child no progress still. For the pets no heart progress/unlocks from the start of when we got the pets around the first year of spring I think when we reached town rank E

We tested this on our side, and the heart points for guests (or joining players) do increase as expected. The hearts unlock and turn pink, but it can take a little time and consistent interaction.

If you get a chance to play again, could you try interacting with the baby and pet every day—whenever the Talk prompt appears—for the next couple of in-game weeks to see if the hearts go up?

I talk and hold my baby continually for 3 month but heart of my baby not unlock same as animal and sawee

Same issue PC to PC. I am P2, cannot gain hearts with Pet or my child. the pet we have had since Y1 and we are now winter Y3. Babies - fall Y3, Don't remember the date exactly.

Just to confirm — since the baby was born and the pet adopted, do you regularly interact with them (talk or hold)? If so, did you do it every day but the hearts still stayed locked? 😮

Yes. I have interacted with the pet every day since Y1, and I interact with the baby every day as well both talking and holding.
