First the animal festival didn't trigger when I went into town, now beach clean up day is also not triggering. I can see the map of the event in the lower right but festival isn't triggering when I go to the beach

Thank you so much for sharing the info with us—it’s been really helpful for the team in figuring out what’s going on and what might trigger this bug. After looking into it, we found that the issue happens if you use up all your stamina the day before, right up until you’re about to pass out, and the screen turns grey.

In the meantime, a temporary workaround is to avoid letting your stamina run out completely. If you’re already on the festival day and it doesn’t trigger, reloading the game should make the festival start properly.
