Weapons always dashing forward?

Having issues using the weapons, except for axe, due do the fact that they jump forward so far that i cannot accurately hit anything unless i wedge myself up against a rock in the mines, the spear and sword are the worse of the two and the shield is not great either as it still seems to jump forward more then reasonable. There is also lag between swining the sheild and trying to block with it.

Reproduction Steps: just clicking to attack and i jump forward more or equal to hitting space to dash. Making me struggle to do damage to anything.

The sword has always made you dash forward. Is the hammer doing it too?

not unless i try to charge it, otherwise mostly it occasionally locks me to walking like im overencombered

the fighting is atrociously hard to use cause you cant aim

All weapons, the axe i cannot hit at all if I charge it, but if I swing it normally I don't move

Was testing the axe charge a bit ago
