#Can't use toolbar or open menu after not using a consumable

Reproduction Steps When attempting to use a consumable, if you press X (square on PS5 controller), the menu goes away, the consumable stays in your inventory, but the game then locks you out of swapping between items with the triggers (R2 and L2). The menu also refuses to open, though I can get to the pause menu. I tried using my keyboard as well, and have had no luck. Reloading the game fixes it, but obviously this is especially frustrating if it happens late in the day.

I also have this issue. Don't know what causes it but I've been locked a few times I just lay the day out best I can and eventually, sometimes by sleeping sometimes by fast traveling it fixes it. I'm on xbox

This has happened to me a few times on PS5 as well. I managed to fix it once by consuming something but if it gets locked on a non consumable then I’m out of luck.

And of course, now that I TRY to recreate it, I can't. I'll make sure to capture it next time it happens, though

Had it happen again! Honestly not 100% sure what I did to make it so. Possibly something about interacting with something while I have a consumable in hand.
