Reproduction Steps: TLDR: Co-Op save has been corrupted on the host's game after switching from playing on a Legion to PC (both on the Xbox PC app). Now the game crashes every time he tries to open the world.
Hello! My husband is hosting a coral island world on the game on the Xbox app on his computer. We have been playing for a long while and just made it to the second week of Summer year 1. During this time, my husband has hosted the game on both his computer where it started and on his Legion handheld.
Yesterday, he tried to log into the game on the computer again but it says that the cloud save file wasn't syncing on the other device. He tried restarting both devices to get it to sync and even tried playing on Cloud Gaming on the Xbox app. Then, the game crashed and when he booted it back up he got an alert that the save file was corrupted. It set us back to the first day of Summer in the game (according to the Co-Op main menu).
We didn't feel like starting that many days over yesterday and went to bed. Today, we were going to go ahead and play from Summer 1 and not try to recover the save file. However, the game crashes when he tried to load it up. It seems our whole game is lost
We tried a fix where we turn on Show Backup in the settings, but there's not toggle button to show backups in the co-op menu (just single player).
We are super bummed about this and had been having lots of fun. We really don't want to have to start over at this point. Is there any help for this issue?
