I finished diving and was heading home with a full inventory (20 slot backpack). When I caught a Pine Sphinx bug for the first time and then opened my inventory to throw something away, I clicked on 1 glass. Suddenly any button I pressed made the new popup for catching the Pine Sphinx display. Esc, right/left click, tab, I, literally anything. The glass was stuck on my cursor and I couldn't put the glass back in the now 1 empty inventory slot, I couldn't throw it away and I couldn't toss it out of my inventory. I just had to close the whole game since I was soft-locked. I'm on Steam, mouse and keyboard, PC, Version v1.2-1239. I had a video, but it got deleted somehow and I can't find it. I only started playing again like 3 days ago and this is the first time this has happened.

Hi @halcyon rose , thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! We have received similar reports regarding this soft-lock problem, and the team is currently investigating it.
As a temporary workaround, it might help to wait until the catch popup fully appears before opening your inventory. As opening it too soon after catching an insect/critter could cause the issue
