PS5 Co-op Crashing Regularly

• Reproduction Steps Unfortunately there does not seem to be a specific set of things. It has crashed 20+ times the past 3 days. 4 of those were on the save screen at end of day. At least once p1 was in the mines and p2 was at the hot springs. 3-4 times both players were underwater. Once we were at the cherry blossom festival. Probably 2-3 times both were calling out the door after waking up.
• Repro Rate: This has happened more than 20 times in the past 3 days. Some were on the same in game day and others we managed to get past those days and it would crash again the next.
• In-Game Date & Time: We just started so we are in spring year 1 various days and times.
• Players & Platform: 2 players both on ps5
• Game Version: 1.2-1238
• Input Mode: controller

Total side note not sure if it’s related but when p2 goes to hot springs their energy does not go up but p1 does instead while underwater.

The team is aware of this issue on PS5 and is actively investigating it.

To help us gather more details, could you let us know if the crashes always happened to both the host and the guest (joining player)? Also, do you recall how many hours you had played before the crashes occurred?

Hi @ruby oak sorry for the delayed response. We have played it a few more times since then. We can usually get 2-3 hours of good play then it will crash. Once it crashes the first time it typically crashes again 20-30 mins later. And sometimes multiple times in this pattern. Still not noticing any pattern to what we are doing when it crashes but I will say probably 80% of the time we are in separate areas not sure if that helps? Thanks for the quick response we really are huge fans and love the update!

Oh sorry also it mainly seems to be the host crashing aka me as we both get booted out. But a couple times only my friends get kicked and I can just pause it and wait for them to get back in.

Absolutely will do! Managed 3 hours of play today no crashes! Will make sure to try to start taking notes anytime it crashes while it is fresh on my mind and I’ll post it here!

-My friend and i are playing multiplayer coop and the game either crashes for the Guests only or for the Host and everyone else every so often, thus having to start the day over. I as a guest have also had crashes after picking mushrooms from the mushroom log and various other things.

-It occurs every so often with the host crashes and almost everytime we play for guests.

We had 11 times today player 2 was knocked out and got 3 videos. 5 of the times were her picking up ranch products. Another 3 were her watering plants underwater. Nothing in particular for the other ones I think.

For now, guests can avoid picking those up and let the host handle it until the fix is out. Thanks so much for your patience!
