I've been trying to romance Semeru and I've been waiting for his event to pop up but I've gone through about 2 seasons now with nothing happening. His "See hangout event" is showing "Avaiable" but at the top of the screen there's usually a cloud that tells me where the new heart event is. There's a couple more characters with the same problem. I looked at the wiki and the trigger is at the Naga Palace but nothing is there, and he has meant to have sent me a letter beforehand but I haven't received it. I have finished the first heart event looking for Posiedon.

u need to "ask" him on a hangout
hangout events are different than heart events
hangout events trigger only during asking them to hang out
which is why u dont have the cloud showing u where to go and when

Hi! I have the same problem here but for some reason I cannot ask him to hangout with me. The option just don’t appear. I also waited for the festival dates but they didn’t come up to the surface and I can’t ask them underwater.
I have already completed the expedition and merfolks are already back in the ocean. I already have 8 hearts for semeru in my old save before update but because I can’t ask him to hangout with me, I cannot give him the amulet. Thank you in advance 🥹
