#How to get Petrified Giants III quest?

Hey all! Partner and I were playing together and reached the bottom of the wind mines using multiple ropes but when she got there or tried to interact with the seal to unlock the giant, I think it prompted like a cutscene was going to start but then nothing happened

We tried again the following day and still nothing, seal isn't broken and Groo is still petrified. We looked through our questlog and realized we finished Giant Village, Petrified Giants I & II, and the quest to unlock Handsome but never seem to have received Giants III quest even though we have the water and earth giants unfrozen as well. Is there some other prerequisite that we're missing in order to get that quest and progress?

I'm afraid to go too far in the fire mines in case reaching its seal messes with the order any further. Other general info about how far we are in the current run for frame of reference is we're in Spring of year 2, have unlocked the Deep Forest, healed the Coral Tree so next step there is to go to the naga castle, and ||Karen / Pufferfish announced their bid for mayorship||. Unsure if we missed any triggers that should've given the quest or need to go back

Hi, two questions.
Are you on steam? And did you see the cutscene and then pass out which next day resulted yin finished quest but the not action?

Oop yeah I'm on steam. I didn't pass out but did click the hole to go down when the cutscene was trying to start I think? Unsure if that interrupts it as well. Neither of us currently have Giants III in our completed list or our still active, so I'm unsure if we had it before and it disappeared or if we never actually had the quest

Ok, got it. Then first I highly encourage you to post to this https://discord.com/channels/623097219628662784/1407794187507732520 bug report, and describe exactly what happened. That during the start of the cutscene you started going down a hole and now you have a completed quest, but giant is there. You can attach screenshots of the game and video. And attach your save file and backups.
This will help the devs figure out what the problem is and find a fix.

Next, it's better to do this after bug report. The host can manually find a backup and replace it in the game folder, so you can go back a day and finish a quest.

I appreciate but I don't believe that's quite the same ^^; We have access to the Giant's Village and the first two giants are unlocked, it's only the 3rd so far that hasn't unlocked even tho we reached the seal and have tried interacting with it several times. I can speak to Chieftain and the earth and water giants, wind is still within the statue in the caverns tho even tho we have the fire mines open
