Issues with being able to select baby with xbox on baby selection screen, had to connect an usb mouse to the xbox to click the mouse button as the A button wouldn't work or any other button than B on the xbox controller which would just take us to a blank black screen. The mouse was able to get us past that carefully but I have noticed issues with the gui and interfaces with an xbox controller having issues with some of the other selection screens. Seems to be an issue with the translation to controller support and needs a bit of rework.

We were able to get past it with the mouse so I am already past it but it happened with the host, the host was using an xbox series x with the xbox version of the game. Unfortanetly we are past it and I can't record it. We are also not moving forward with the second child till the update for kids growing up is out as there is no current progression to that side we found. Not sure if there is more I can help with on this.

in co op mode, me and my partner have just had the harvest festival, our characters have had a baby the next day. it won’t let me select a baby so i press the B button on my controller, black screens the game and I can’t do anything. Can hear game noises in the background but I can’t get out of the screen

I’ve attached a video showing what happens, unfortunately you can’t tell I’m attempting to click 😂

me and my boyfriend love playing this game together and it’s such a shame that we currently can’t because of this bug :(

I play on Xbox Series X, my partner plays on Steam. I host the game

i used the mouse workaround that OP did so my game has thankfully started to work again

Me and my wife are having this problem with both of us playing on the PS5 and a mouse does not work to fix this

My friend and I have had the same problem I am on ps5 he is on pc we had a child together it we can't seem to select the child we want.

I'm experiencing the same issue on my PS5. The PS5 doesn't support mouse usage.

How long does this typically take to get fixed? This isn't a normal big or glitch- it is literally game breaking.
It has been an issue for over two-weeks and I am wondering if my friend and I should just find another game to play since this is a huge bug that is game breaking and is still not fixed after so long.

Ah, I didn't see this had already been posted and submitted my own report. Still not fixed 2 1/2 weeks later, I'm on PS5 and just encountered this last night. Really bummed, my friend and I have put like 50+ hours into this save file, it's disheartening to think about having to restart a game if we want to play together while this is being addressed

As a temporary workaround, connecting a mouse and clicking through can help, since this issue specifically affects controllers. However, we’re aware that the PS5 doesn’t support mouse input, so unfortunately there’s no workaround available at the moment 🙇‍♀️

Thank you for letting us know it's actively being worked on. For things like this are the fixes generally applied as soon as they're ready or is it larger patches sent out as more issues are fixed?

How can this be messed up so badly? You say I can only click through with a mouse, but on PS5 I can't even use a mouse. Does that mean I just can't play the game for weeks now until there's a fix?

To be honest, they should rather write JavaScript instead of developing games if a single mouse click can block players for months. In all my years as a gamer, I've never experienced anything like this.

Especially for a game that's out of beta and being promoted on every platform it's on. It's actually mind boggling how many bugs/crashes there are for a $30 game that's supposedly on full release mode

The issue where you couldn’t select the baby in multiplayer while using a controller has been fixed in our latest update v1.2-1240. Please update your game to see the improvement 🎮
