Walter in Farm: Just happened randomly and not sure how to reproduce

Repro Rate (How often does the issue occur?),
Walter: So far happened Winter 28 (twice on same day, restarted just to see), and then he appeared again in the afternoon

I've run into this as well, Steam/PC. He just kept wandering around my farm all day, like he was snooping/inspecting everything. Can we cite him for trespassing? LOL

Hi @fallow smelt , thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! could you let us know what you were doing right before Walter showed up at your farm? Does he appear suddenly in the middle of your farm, or does he seem to enter from a specific area? Any details you can share would be super helpful laugh2

In the morning I just came out of the house and haven't done anything yet and just went in the area in the photo and saw him around 6:30AM, and in the afternoon (2PM ish) when I passed by in the same area, I just found him walking from the same direction (west) and was surprised to see him again in the same area at night (7PM ish). But I was just mostly at my farm tilling the soil and filling up artisan equipment

@thorn crystal Hi! Nothing special that I've noticed. There were times I would be returning to my farm from town center (not by teleport) and find Walter walking from the bridge leaving my farm. This also happened on Summer, though it was mostly in the afternoon seeing him walk from the farm. Didn't see him in the mornings though. So I do different things, but he'll just be walking through the farm regardless. It doesn't happen that often that I've noticed. Maybe around 3-4 times a season that I've noticed.

Having this issue as well. This is the third time I’ve had to restart winter 28. First 2 times Walter was not on my farm. Third time he is, still playing through the day. But the first two loads, the festival disappeared come evening time, which made me have to reload.
As for what I was doing at the time - nothing. I walked out of my house first thing in the morning and walked to the left to get to my barn and he was just wandering around aimlessly.

I have had Walter on my farm too, but tbh, I think it's part of a storyline - various other things plus this all are adding up to convince me this is the case.

This just happened to me on Xbox, also Winter 28! When I’d go inside or leave the farm and come back, his position would reset and he’d make the exact same walk he made every other time

For me, he kept spawning in the middle of my farm and would walk up to the northeast corner. Standing right on the edge of the dirt, staring at the water

I know this is rather old but he appeared on my farm this morning when I walked out of the house. He walks thru and stands near the entrance heading to town. I'm on steam if that matters.

Winter 28, I walked out of the house and he walked across. And kept doing it throughout the day. I don’t think I did anything out of the usual for me. But the next day he was gone. And my game didn’t crash.

Hi, got literally same, just woke up, went on farm and see Walter hanging out there. Also Winter 28th. Before I just pet a dog.
