Cannot Claim Funguys Swarm Crossover Chest nor Pet (oufit works fine for some reason) | Stairway Games | Page 1

when i turn on the game and go to the mail box, i get the letter that shows i can claim them. however only the outfit is claimable, while the pet and the chest both claim my inventory is full, and thus are stuck in the mailbox. i attempted to restart the game, and i restarted steam, but the problem persists. i attempt to claim, it says my inventory is full (it's not) and i cannot claim the chest and the pet in particular. the only thing i have access to is the outfit.

has happened three times now since i bought funguys swarm and attempted to claim them
i play on PC, Steam
v1.2-1238
I switch between xbox PC controller and mouse, i attempted both to claim the rewards, same result
the only thing i can extra say is i do not seem to have the same issue of being unable to make the key work. the letter is in my mailbox, it just seems to have a bug in accepting 2/3's of the reward.

if further information is required, i will provide accoringly =w=b thank you for your help

thank you! and of course, i saw teh bug reports. i wanted to make sure i tested as much as i could and got as much information, in the hopes that it could be fixed on it's own
do let me know if it is the correct file. my friend and I started a file together at the same time i started my own save file, im not /quite/ sure which file is which. but i have the other one ready to upload if it is required

is it safe to continue playing the file with the issue, unable to claim the thing, or should i hold off on it for now? i don't mind if that is the case, i just want to know what would be most helpful

Oh actually, could you try verifying the integrity of the game files for Coral Island to see if that lets you claim all the items in-game? You can do this by: Steam Library > Right-click Coral Island > Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files 🙂

alright no, the issue has persisted in the exact same manner. i can collect the outfit, but the pet and chest remain stuck in the mail, claiming my inventory is full when it isn't

Ah, got it—thanks for letting us know it didn’t work. Just to double-check, you don’t have any mods installed on the game, right? 😮

I did have one installed yes. i can remove it and see if things function that way? i honestly had forgotten about it, my friend wanted it installed

Ahah! it did! the way the mod worked is that it had me go into properties->general and under launch options put -fileopenlog
i was able to claim all three things now!
