Heading into the third round Lily’s cow was already halfway across the screen before any of the others took off from the start.
First two rounds played normally with the timed buttons showing up, no cows jumping the countdown. Upon loading the third round her cow was already at the halfway point when I faded in.

However, you're more than welcome to share what you were doing before the issue happened so we can look into it. In the meantime, we will also search for a similar issue to the one you've encountered and notify our team for further investigation

I made a mistake, I didn’t realize the newest editions didn’t still have the ‘one’ in the title.
It’s a Series X. Before I went to the festival all I did was pet my animals in the farm and collect their items.
I had won the rodeo mini game and the chicken mini game. I had also already spoken to all villagers.

Could you tell us the order of your interactions throughout the festival? Do you remember if you talked to all the townies first before doing the minigames?

Yes.
I arrived, began speaking to all the townies. I spoke to every single one before I did any mini games, basically went around counterclockwise until everyone said their part.
The rodeo mini game was next, I won with a score that was about double or triple the score of the top NPC.
Then I did the chicken mini game, no hiccups or glitches. I won that one as well.
Then I went straight to the cow mini game, won the first couple rounds without any issue. The last round faded into the countdown screen and behind it I could see Lily’s cow halfway to the finish at one of the roadblocks. When the countdown ended all other cows went as usual and the game played how it was supposed to, there was just no chance to catch up.
Afterwards I did the pet race minigame. I didn’t win because my pet wasn’t good friends with me, but all rounds played as normal.

I had the same problem with Pablo's cow luckily I didn't do to much that day and I re started and it didn't happen again but I was so shocked the first time
