try adding this to the #1405384975137898524 so the devs can find it better! 
My previous experience with Stardew Valley when that game released multiplayer seems to match what I saw with Coral Island comparing multiplayer to solo, which is that the in-game time itself isn't faster. However, it also doesn't automatically pause when opening menus or interacting with dialogue like it does in single player. (Since it would be really annoying for the other players to have their games autopause when one person opens a chest, for example.) This makes the irl time per day much shorter without all those short pauses. Could this be what you are experiencing?
