#Additional Details: Monsters Attacking After Death

Reproduction Steps: Kill monster during or right before an attack, stand still (or just don't move out of the attack's path)
Repro Rate: Seemingly 100% of the time following the above steps

Wanted to add some additional details that may be helpful regarding this issue. It seems that all monsters can be affected by this issue, but certain ones are more likely due to the nature of their attack. Basically, if a monster is slain during its attack animation OR during the wind-up to the attack, the attack will happen. Certain monsters – especially the bat dude, armulite, and amalo, though sphekter is up there, too – have drawn out wind ups to their attack, drawn out attack animations, or drawn out death animations, and this seems to make them the most commonly affected by the issue. Armulite is by far the most notorious, which I think is a combination of its very long death animation and its very long attack. Sometimes, the white line showing where the attack will hit appears right as they are being slain, and while their model disappears before the attack is executed, the attack continues.

With armulite in particular, I've also noticed that I often take damage during the "white line" stage (before it turns to red, when their attack is actually in effect), but I think that this is a separate issue, because (1) it seems to only apply to armulite, whereas the attacking after death affects every monster to some extent, and (2) I experienced this issue before the latest update as well.

Got a recording here. Happens a lot with water skully. I think I've also experienced it with a few wasps, though their attack hit areas and timings are rather confusing. Just now I had it happen with two armulite (with completely synced timing), whose attack aiming and trigger all happened after they died and disappeared (screen capture bugged out, so did get a vid of that.

this same issue also occurs to me sometimes.
i also use that hammer and sometimes if monsters are killed during their attack, the hit still triggers after they are long dead.
its not specific to any monster.
Last time it happened was on v1.2-1239 (havent played on v1.2-1240 yet).
I'm P2, i'll try to check if this happens to host aswell the next time we play.

ofc when i try to reproduce on purpose its harder… i did get this. during this session, other enemies’ attacks would cancel if I killed it before it hit, but this one didn’t

hi! sorry this is a terrible clip lol I don’t know how to get it from my ps5, but this bug is happening to me every time I kill the bee monster things, i can move around / even take a ladder to the next level and it’ll still happen. I thought I recorded the clip for longer but it can happen for quite a long time and today it almost completely diminished my health!

I play on the PS5 and I haven’t played on the update just released yet, but I don’t see it in the patch notes so I thought I would send the video (taken earlier today) I can report back if it happens again after this new update
