I got the 'cannot adopt more pets' error both before and after the host adopted a pet. We both have pet beds in our homes. When his pet arrived I got the cutscene as if I had also adopted it and I can talk to it, and it shows up as family in the relationships tab

heyas! this should go into #1405384975137898524 . please follow the pinned post on bug reporting guidelines as all the requested info is needed for the devs to fix the problem! Please note that the usage of any mods or file alteration will make it where the devs can not help you.
