Hey hey, here is some information that i have been gathered so far about multiplayer. Hope it can help you answer your multiplayer journey approve2

Some information may subject to change, i will try to keep it updated

#

- 🔧 Save settings change

You **can't **change the save setting after the save is made/ launched. So be sure to pick the settings that you want at the start!

- ⏱️ Game time speed

The game time speed would follow the host' settings. It's adjustable in the game settings

- ⏸️ Game pause

The host has access to do a global pause, and would pause all player

the time would freeze and the guest can do nothing

#

- Ocean_DLC DLC/Backer items

The DLC/Backer items are connected to the host. If the host has it, then it can be shared with the guest. It would also be available to purchase at the concerned monkey shop

For more information, There used to be a cosmetic charity DLC during Early access, which is no longer available. & The upcoming Funguys x Coral Island goodies would also count into this

If the guest has DLC but the host didn't, that guest can't get the DLC items

- Tophy_CI Achievement

There are some achievements that are shared, some are individual
For example:

[Let's be platonic] -> ||Reaching 5 heart with an NPC||
As the heart progress are individual, this achievement isn't shared
[Paleontologist] -> ||Complete fossil collection||
If the player donated at least one and the requirement for achievement are met, it would be shared

- Gift_decor Gifting other player

While there is no direct gifting feature, you can drop or put the item in a chest. You can drop item by dragging item to the right side of inventory + left click

or if you're using controller, there's a button to drop item shown in the bottom right corner of the inventory UI

- Rusdy_CI Pet adoption

Pet adoption requirements are the same as singleplayer:

  • Need at least town Rank E
  • At least one pet bed/house has to be placed
  • Pet adoption limit is one per house upgrade, up to 3
    • Mythical pet (||Sawee||) doesn't count towards pet adoption counts

On multiplayer, only the host can adopt pet, up to 3 per lobby/farm. The pet can be interacted by every player

||Sawee|| can be only obtained once per lobby/farm, as the offering rewards are shared (Once received, other player can't get another reward)
||Sawee|| can be planted by player A and be harvested by player B/C/D, and the opposite

- Prone Passed out player

When a player passes out, they would lie down and can do nothing until the day ended by player. They cannot be revived either

they ded. you may see them at the next life day

- Chest_CI Stone chest

The 'Stone chest' that you can find around the island (And the mines) are individual. It can be opened by each players

#

- Merit_CI Merit points

Merit points are individual and not shared among the player

The source however, may differ. For example:

  • Mini games reward, Errand completions = individual
  • Attending festival, reaching certain town rank = Shared

- Festival_CI Festivals

In order to attend a festival, all the player who currently presents during multiplayer session need to join in via the festival orb, similar with how sleeping/end the day works

Note: There seems to be a bug where the festival orb won't show up for the guest. Reloading would fix this issue. So for now, best reload the save at festival days!

- controller Mini Games:

Mini games are individual, so is it's winning reward

You can't play with the other player on the mini games
(This has been tested on the sack race, would update as i can)

- Goddess blessings

Goddess blessings are shared among the player, one attempt of getting it per day

If none is got, better luck next time day

- Marriage_CI Relationship with other player

You do can propose/marry other player.

Note: It appears that if you do so, the spouse room is currently missing

For having children with other player, you're supposedly can, But i can't confirm on that, need further info

For Hangout, you can't do that with other player

- Quest_CI Quest & Events

There are some quests that are individual, some are shared:

  • Individual quest usually related to personal progression, Example: Harvesting your first crop, crafting flower bouquet, etc.

  • Shared quest usually related to the main progression. Example are: Mining progression (||Free the giant I, II, ... IV||), ocean (||Activate solar orbs ...||), lake offering & museum donation progression, etc.

    • The reward of shared quest is individual, can be claimed by each player
  • Errands are individual and not shared

  • Heart_CI Heart events are individual and not shared

Some events that related to the main progression are shared, for example the town cutscene at day 4, meeting ||Chieftain||

When a shared event is about to be played, there is notification at the bottom left of the screen
While the shared event plays, the time would still keep going. But the event can be skipped

- ⏩ Skip time

When a player doing a hangout in multiplayer, it would not skip the time (On singleplayer, doing a hangout would skip time by 2 hours)

- Basic_CI Masteries & Journal

Masteries level (Farming, Foraging, etc.), and your journal are not shared and is individual
