Couldn't Do Tree Planting Festival

On the day of the Tree Planting Festival, the balloon where we can choose to start the festival didn't show on my screen; I can walk just straight through the area where it usually shows up. My friend, who was hosting the world, was the only who can see and start it. Of course, we couldn't start the festival at all since it required both of us.

I had this but with the cherry blossom and vice versa, I was host and couldn't see it but they could as guest

playing with my BF right now and we have the same problem. He is the host but the Tree Festival Balloon north of the Farm isnt even there for him. I can see it but when I try starting the festival it says 0/2 players ready. No chance to start it.

i have the same issue but for Tree Planting Fest, me and @fleet flower, the balloon thingy didnt appear on Sal's screen while it appeared on mine (im the host) Though we could attend Cherry Blossom Fest

Reproduction Steps:

1. Playing the game without reloading from Cherry Blossom fest to Tree Planting Fest
2. When the Tree Planting Fest comes, second player didnt have the balloon
3. Reloading the save file by host fixed the problem

It happened to our game too but with the Cherry Blossom Festival, basically I was the host and I could see the balloon, my daughter couldn't she had to exit and reenter the game to make it appear. But unfortunately the time for joining was finished and we had to restart the whole day

I am having the same issue. my daughter and husband can see the balloons for all the festivals. however me as the host I am unable to see any of them so we can't participate in any of the festivals

This happened to me and my partner on ps5. I'm the host. I could see the festival starter thing, he couldn't, so we couldn't do the festival :/

Do you happen to remember what activities you and other players did the day before the Festival?

Had you completed any offerings at the Lake Temple before that, or visited the Ocean?
Do you recall if you triggered any cutscenes in town that day, or gained any hearts with NPCs before the Festival?

I was wandering around finding the festival balloon
I don't recall going to the ocean nor getting any events

I was actively farming artifact coffers in the ocean, other players I am unsure, heard something about fishing

I don’t recall any cutscenes or heart levels happening

We encountered the same thing with the animal festival, and we figured out that it happened after I (the host) went into the ocean that day. I think there are multiple bugs involving the host and the ocean, because my player 2 is also unable to shake palm trees and use the bath house while I am underwater.

Yea, this was when we played straight through to the Festival day without reloading (and bugged). When we reloaded on D-day, it worked afterward for the Tree Planting Festival

happening to me too with multiple festivals - first with tree planting and now with animal festival. i am playing multiplayer.

quit to main screen 3x and to desktop to restart day and still not working for animal festival

well, got to day 12 and it is actually glitched 😛 can see the festival icon on the bottom right and a balloon on the map but none at the festival entrance

My friend and I had played in one night from the beginning of Spring 1, Year 1 to Tree Planting Festival. We were able to attend the Cherry Festival just fine, but then ran into the issue of the Tree Planting Festival as I stated in my original post. We stopped playing for the night, quit, and then started the game again the next night. We reloaded on the same day of the Tree Planting Festival and were both able to see the balloon and play through the festival. The day before the festival, my friend and I went mining and diving respectively (and had no issues). And in both times, we did donate things to the museum on the day of the festival right before trying to start it. My friend and I haven't yet played more festivals beyond this.

My partner and I just had this glitch happen with the Fall Festival. I'm the host on ps5. The event starter is not showing up for me.

ive got the same glitch but with the winter festival, Winter y1 d17, the curling ice block is there but nothing else is showing and while villagers are there they are floating on water. I went back net day (d18) and still broken so..... not doing winter fair i guess lol.

Also had this bug, my friend and I worked around it by me disconnecting. They then started the tree planting festival and then once they were at the festival I loaded back in.

Same here. I was hosting the game on Steam and my wife was joining from PS5. I went straight from the ocean (cleaning up) to the animal festival around 13:30 and she was not able to join

Thank you so much for sharing all this info with us—it’s been really helpful for the team in figuring out what’s going on and what might trigger this bug. After looking into it, we found that the issue happens if you use up all your stamina the day before, right up until you’re about to pass out and the screen turns grey.

The team is already working on a fix, so hang tight! 🙌

In the meantime, a temporary workaround is to avoid letting your stamina run out completely. If you’re already on the festival day and it doesn’t trigger, reloading the game should make the festival start properly.

Hi @elder raptor , I unfortunately had this issue happen this weekend after the hotfix. I’m the host on PC and I was playing with my 2 sons. One on a desktop PC and one on Steam Deck. We got to the Harvest Festival and I could see the balloon and start the event. My son on PC also could do both. My son on Steam Deck could see the balloon, but it never triggered for him to start the event. He could run past the balloon and explore the area (not decorated for festival yet). We had him log in and out, but didn’t fix the issue. We restarted the day completely so he could do it with us (which is a major pain bc you have to wait until 7 pm). Same issue occurred, both myself and son on desktop PC could initiate, but he never got the prompt to join it.

We had him logout so we could start the festival and he sat by me to watch it. He’s 5 yrs old (awesome and looooves Coral Island), but he’s devastated that he won’t be able to do the Spooky Festival. He only has one goal in life right now and it’s the Spooky Festival, haha.

Any thoughts? When he logged out fully of Coral Island, I double checked he had the hotfix update and he did.

One thing I didn’t do was fully reset the host game though and logout myself and relaunch the save. Because it was affecting only his ability to join on the steam deck, I assumed it was a steam deck issue.

Unfortunately we finished off the festival so I don’t have the ability to recreate the issue or screenshots.

You can find it by copy-paste this file path to the File Explorer bar: **%localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames **
then compress the SaveGames folder into a ZIP file before sending it here.
