My wife and me were playing together and we were going to upgrade our tools.
She was processing some ores and had just 2 spaces left on her inventory, I then dropped the items she needed on the floor and they filled all of the available spaces so she couldn't do anything, the game was locked so we had to close and reopen it.
#Coop Bug: When player is processing ores, if inventory becomes full it just locks the game

Hi @lusty willow , thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! Could you tell us which platform you're playing from (Steam PC/Deck, Xbox PC/S/X, PlayStation 5)? And if you are able to replicate the issue, could you record a video and send it here so we can take a closer look?

Hi, we are playing both on steam
Its easy to reproduce
Go to blacksmith with only 1 free slot
Go to process ores/open chests
Click on an ore or chest to open it (need to have more than 1 or else there will be a new free slot )
Have the other player drop something on the floor near the player that is processing so it gets picked automatically
Game soft locks because you can't drop the item in any slot and you can't free up any slots
