Title : I loaded my old save file from v1.1, and I believe I'm encountering an issue with the new relationship lock system. In the attached picture, I've already reached 8 hearts with Alice and have seen her 8th heart event, but I'm unable to give her a locket because it says I'm missing a dating requirement.

So, I don't think this a bug versus a feature (the romance changes for v1.2). It is my understanding you have to do all those hangouts listed as prerequisite for further steps like a locket or ring.
TL;DR - Hangout with Alice three more times and the locket "should" be accepted.
