Hello, I downloaded Coral Island today to play with my friend on coop. We have the same specs on our PC, however I wasn't able to play the game at all. While the game launches properly, every time I click on the coop menu, my games crashes + whenever trying to accept an invitation to game on Steam from my friend, my game crashes as well. Could you help me understand and fix the issue please? Here are some details:

Repro steps:
1 – Boot the title on Steam
2 – Click on the Co-Op option on main menu
3 – Expect the game to crash

Repro rate : 100%

Platform : Steam

Game Version : v1.2-1238

Input Mode : MKB (Mouse and Keyboard)

PC specs :

  • Processor > AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core Processor
  • RAM > 16.0 Go
  • GPU > AMD Radeon RX 6800

I'm also joining my save files, crash report and callstack of UE crash report below. Thank you!

Hello @cinder rose,
I’m so sorry about the crash that’s preventing you from opening your save file and playing 🙇‍♀️

Just to confirm - did the crash also occur when you opened your single-player mode save file?

Hello 👋
Yes, it happened also on single player mode!

Got it! I've relayed this to the team.
Following our internal investigation - we suspect that a third-party application may be interfering with the Unreal Engine’s online subsystem, which could be preventing it from initializing properly and contributing to the crash you're experiencing.

To help us determine whether multiple applications are attempting to use the same network port, we kindly ask that you follow the steps below:

  1. Launch Coral Island (even if the game crashes, please leave the Unreal Engine crash window open).

  2. Open the Command Prompt by typing cmd into the Windows search bar and pressing Enter.
-In the Command Prompt window, enter the following command and press Enter: netstat -ano | findstr :27015
-Take a screenshot of the results and attach it to your reply.

  3. Open Task Manager by right-clicking on the taskbar.
-Right-click on the column header in Task Manager and enable the PID (Process ID) column.
-Take a screenshot of this view as well and include it with your response.

This information will help us identify whether any conflicting applications are occupying the port used by the game. Thank you so much! 🙌

Thank you for checking out my issue.
I will wait the time it needs for it to be fixed and to be able to play Coral Island!

Adding the requested info:
I tried launching the game with all my apps closed and quitted (Discord, Spotify, BattleNet, etc) and I still got the crash :/

# austere moth Hi! Yes, here it is

Hello @kindred vault 👋
Just wanted to let you know that I managed to fix this issue on my end. Turns out that it was related to admin rights on the PC. I created a new local admin account on my computer and then launched Coral Island - and now, I can access the co-op, no problem! If needed, I followed the steps below to create a new local admin account. Maybe it can help other people who encountered the same issue. Thank you again for your time!
