#(Ps5) Game froze on pause screen.

Had the same issue on Steam Deck, was idle on the map screen for a few minutes then came back to it completely locked up
Hi @blissful fiber and @idle patio , thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! If you are able to replicate the issue, could you try to record a video and send it here so we can take a closer look? It will greatly assist us in our investigation, thank you!
I can record a video if it happens again, but you won't see much lol – game was just on the map screen and not accepting any kind of input, so there's nothing to see other than the map. Couldn't move the cursor, or switch over to the inventory/relationships menus, or exit the map back to the game.
The exact same thing happened to me on steam (pc).
I left the screen paused on the quest tab. When I came back the entire thing was frozen. Completely non responsive. Had to force close the game.
I don't mean to sound rude but there's nothing to show, I was idle for 15 minutes on the pause screen lol. I hadn't even left the room after starting a new game.
I’m sorry to hear that you encountered the issue as well! To help us look into it further, could you please confirm whether you were using a controller or a keyboard and mouse during your gameplay? Thanks in advance
@blissful fiber @idle patio that’s totally understandable! And I apologize for not being clearer earlier—we’re actually hoping to see how your controller is interacting with the game compared to how it behaves on your console.
So even if the game screen is frozen, a simple phone recording showing what’s happening would still be really helpful for our investigation
It's not happened since but if it does I'll be sure to record on my phone. I understand you can't fully trust my word but basically, the d-pad up and down and X wasn't doing anything, but pulling up the ps5 menu it was all working fine there.
I am using a keyboard and mouse for all gameplay.
I will try to record if I experience the issue again, but re "how your controller is interacting with the game compared to how it behaves on your console," I'd say that all inputs (joysticks, buttons, triggers, etc.) have 0 effect on the game, but if I press the ●●● button or the STEAM button, the system menus appear as expected and work normally
