I have the same thing. Mine is now called Child04Female. I play on PC if that helps

I play on ps5, and my child was renamed to "Child 04 Female" just now as well.

I also changed it at the town hall yesterday, but today, it changed back to Child 04 Female.

I posted a bug report on this issue. I play on PC and good to know I am not the only one experiencing this issue.

This has happened to me to. I have 2 kids and both are missing their names. Happened immediately after the update.

I have this same issue! I play on ps5! Mine didn’t happen until the day after the update? If that makes sense… it showed the name after I updated but when I got on earlier today it started showing child female/male instead of the actual name.

I am having the same issue on PC. I tried to rename the child in the town hall to fix it myself, sadly it returns to the same back after a day or two

We’ve reported it to the team, and they’ll need a bit more info from you!

For those experiencing this on Steam, could you please share your save file and backup?
It’s especially helpful if you haven’t played too far after updating to 1.2, so the backup still contains some days from 1.1b.

Here’s how to find it:

  • Copy-paste this path into Windows Explorer: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved
  • Compress the SaveGames folder into a .ZIP file
  • Send the ZIP file here in the chat
