got to day 2 when a crow eats one of your crops and you're given the mission to craft a scarecrow and for both me and my co-player but neither of us have the recipe to craft the scarecrow so we cannot complete the quest. Tried advancing to the next day and that didn't fix it, and neither did reloading the entire game. we are both on the pc version of the game version 1.2-1238

I also had this issue, but ended up learning the recipe for Makeshift Scarecrow when I leveled up my Farming skill. I don’t know if this is intended, but I hope it helps people in the future!
