Reproduction Steps: When I fast travel from anywhere on land to underwater, the game crashes within one minute after arriving underwater, effectively shutting off my PC. I am able to play the game when my character is on land. It is only when I go underwater that the game becomes unplayable for me.
Repro Rate: Every time I go underwater only.
Game Platform: Steam PC
Game Version: Current version (v1.2-1238)
Input Mode: Keyboard and mouse
PC: HP Victus 15-fb0091AX
GPU specs details: AMD Radeon RX6500M
Crash log: No Crash Reporter from Unreal popped up in my case since the game and my PC automatically crashed and shut off.

Hello @signal crest I'm sorry to hear about the crash issue you encountered. Do you happen to have a video of when the issue occurs? Also, showing when the FPS perhaps?

Thank you so much!goatlove2

Yes, that’s right — I meant the FPS number shown in the corner of your screen.

How to turn on FPS counter:
On Steam, open Steam (top left screen) > Settings > In-Game and make sure Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game is turned on. Change the In-game FPS counter into “top-right” and enable the In-game FPS counter high contrast.

Also, did you happen to get a crash log when the issue occurred?

As for the FPS counter, I'll send another video with it and update you.

Hello @pearl pewter! Just wanted to know if you need any other details from me to help with my case. Thank you so much!

Both, actually.

Could you please confirm—in your video, after you hugged with Semeru, it suddenly looked like you were moved to land without selecting any fast travel point. Which warp option did you choose when using the warp session?

Does this always happen, and could you record it again so we can better verify the issue?

Could you please check if your laptop is overheating before shutting down, and also try updating your GPU driver? Using a cooling pad and keeping the charger plugged in might also help. Let us know if the issue still happens.

Thank you so much!approve2

Hi Ardian! Attached is a other video for your review. I used the warp seaajen in this one, but the crash happens regardless of the teleportation method I use.

I tested the game again like you asked. I also updated my GPU driver as well. Regarding overheating, my laptop did not overheat at all when I replayed CI.

Could you try forcing the game to use DirectX 11, which sometimes improves stability:

  • In Steam, right-click Coral Island → Properties.
  • Under General, find Launch Options and type: -dx11
  • Close the window, restart Steam, and launch the game.

Hopefully these steps help stop the crashes—thank you for giving them a try!

Hi Ardian! I'll give this a shot soonest and update you.

Hi Ardian! Unfortunately, my game and my laptop still crash when I am underwater. Everything still lags when I try to move from one spot to another before crashing.

Ohhhhh. I should try that soon. I'll let you know if it changes things, Ardian!

Hi Ardian! I tested with a different tail style. I also reduced my render scale to 75 and I have not experienced any crashes as of late.

I will keep observing for now and update you if anything else happens.
