Wanting to confirm, is the save for co-op only with the host?
Is there drop in functionality? So if one person stops playing a new person can take their place? If so, will they be able to use a new character or have to use the old one from another player?

The MP game has up to 4 players, one is a host that creates a game. They store files from what I remember. Party is set, whoever joins they play. If someone drops out, then there are 3 members in the party now. New ones can't join.

Yea that’s the usual unless dedicated servers exist which is a pricey endeavour from what I’ve seen
