It is very difficult to find great white shark even in the correct date and weather already. Raja ampat shark and yellow moray eel are much easier to find (I got one in two hours game time). Why is GWS so rarely appear? Is it a bug?

Yeah, I went on fishing at the small platform next to the boat. But I have to wait so long for just 1 gws to appear that I was caught offguard and reacted too slow, when I tried to click catch it I was already too late.
It appear after 5 hours wait, I thought it is again another baracuda

Yeah I think it just depends on the rng because I literally was fishing for a blue effing tang for for more than one in game day. But the great white appeared day one on like one or two tries and then again later when I was trying to catch something else

Let me explain a bit — the Great White Shark falls under the Legendary Fish rarity, which of course means it comes with a very high difficulty level.
Please note that when fishing for the Great White Shark, it follows a probability-based system, where its appearance is influenced by random chance.
