Gift Achievement Bug

Game Claim's I Gave every character in the game a gift, so it rewarded me for it.
I have not given any gifts to at least 58 NPCs. I have however given my husband at least 60 gifts. Including ones that cause an overflow glitch showing N+2/2 gifts.
I believe that the gift menu bug isn't just a visual bug, but an overflow that is writing a gift total exceeding the weekly limit onto other NPCs.

i just did today

I have given gifts to ONLY: Semeru, Aaliyah, Alice, Antonio, Ben, Bree, Charles, Noah, Pablo, Raj, Scott, and Wakuu.

Ihave not given ANY gifts to any of the remaining characters

i got the achievemnt as soon as i gave Semeru another gift in the morning of Wednesday Summer 17 year 2, causing his gift UI to overflow from 2/2 gifts to 3/2 gifts when i recieved the popup for the achievement via steam overlay

This one's actually part of the game’s intended design! Since Semeru is now your spouse in the game, you’re able to spoil him with more than two gifts each week—just one of the perks of married life 😆

alright, but that doesnt explain why i was given an achievement for something i didn't do

Before the achievement popped up, do you remember recently giving any gifts to other townies besides Semeru? Or has it been a while since you last gifted anyone else?

Also, what do you usually give Semeru and how often would you say you gift him?

no

i woke up

and gave semeru a gift

and only semeru

because no one else is important

and i have been doing this every day since i married him Spring 2 year 2

and it told me i had given everyone a gift instead and awarded me an achievement that only 11.5% of people have

unless the "spoiling" is writing to another character, or the game counts "quest giving" as "gifts". I have no idea why this happened

of which i don't think i did quests for 50 different characters

Got it! Since marrying Semeru, could you let us know what you usually give him? Has it been the same gift each day, or do you mix it up?

And on the day the achievement was triggered, do you happen to remember what you gave him specifically?

every day.

as soon as i discovered he was romancable i grew a hundred wheat just to drown him in my love

and that's been the only thing i have given him this entire time

I have given 1 bouquet to all of the male character's I listed earlier, except Raj who instead got 2 coffee beans, Ben who received 2 green teas, and Charles who received 1 blueberry. Bree who was given 1 jackfruit and Aalyah got 1 cup of coffee.

the other hundred gifts i have given throughout the game has been exclusively differing quality beers to Semeru
