Land Animals Love Sunny Winter...?

The Jeff Smith TV show, during Fall, suggests you should keep your animals cooped/barned up during Winter. However, they don't mind as long as it's sunny.

My memory is saying this wasn't the case in the past, that you had to keep them indoors.

(The same is true for sea animals as well, but they seem to not care about land weather and seasons anyway.)

My save files are way past winter because I forgot to submit this one. I'm in summer year 4 now, so even the backups won't reach that far, but I'll submit my current one in case there's useful data in it.

Reproduction Steps

• Play to Winter.
• Call your (land) animals out. All of my barns and coops have auto petters, auto feeders, auto collectors, and silos with sufficient hay to feed them.
• They should be happy! Like Feathers is! (All of them were happy; I checked.)

• Every sunny winter day.

@slate pebble not a bug, animal behavior was changed to able to be let out in winter and being happy on sunny days. It was due to popular player demand.
But in game texts and dialogue wasn't touched. So this may need to be fixed

I was trying to find where this patch note was and I couldn't, which is part of why I was like "??? when did this change...?"

It was changed during beta testing for 1.1 or 1.1b, so all patch notes aren’t available as they’re locked in the beta channels

I can, but that will take me time because it happens in late Fall, iirc, but I don't recall exactly which day (or if it's early Winter even).

i'm in fall right now (early fall) but did have that tv message in first year !! i believe it was the last day of fall but i'll double check again this run !!
