#Certain Drops Never Have Quality Despite Skill Levels

A number of drops do not allow for higher quality to occur; they always drop at base (not even bronze) quality. These include the following:

  • All coconuts from coconut trees. (Foraging doesn't raise this...?)
  • All drops from Mystery Rocks in the Starlet Mines / Cave of Memories (exception: crop seeds). (Intended?)
  • All drops from looting a trash can, including fish and insects. (Intended?)

Reproduction Steps

  • See included video about coconuts, since those seem like they should gain quality from Foraging. :)

Reproduction Rate: Every time for all of the above.

None of those you listed have higher than the base quality

Transmutation doesn’t have anything to do with drops though. Same with the fish and bugs you get from the caves they will never have a star but you can transmute them

Coconuts were mentioned once in the dev diary that they would have quality. I think in the next update.
As regarding drops from trash and mystery rocks, my thinking is it’s intended, it’s free loot and making it quality would be too overpowered. And they don’t even count toward your journal.
But of course we’ll need to wait for the team’s confirmation on Monday
