Peafowl isn't giving me any feathers

My peafowl is 24 days old and has been happy since the beginning (except for the first few days). In this time, I have only gotten 1 feather. I believe I got it the first week, or early second week.

It's currently winter but I have a temperature machine. I don't let them out at all during winter.

What-- as I went back to the game after typing this, the peafowl dropped a large feather in front of me. 😭 I guess it fixed itself but it was still a long time between the last feather and this one!

Do you happen to remember the in-game date when you first had the Peafowl in your Coop, and when it gave you the first feather?

Also, glad to hear you’ve received a feather now!
If you continue playing and make sure to feed and pet them for the next 4–5 in-game days, do they produce another feather again?

Thanks for the message! I don't remember when it dropped the first (small) feather, just that it was in the beginning - so probably the fourth day if that's the first day they drop one.

At the time of this screenshot it was Winter 19, Year 1. The peafowl was 24 days old so I think I got it in Fall 23 or 24? depending on how the days are counted

I will let you know when it drops the next feather!

I did get the autopetter a couple of in-game days ago, perhaps that somehow reset the feather cooldown? Unfortunately I did not pay attention to what day that was!

Just to check — after the Peafowl gave its first Feather, was it being fed and petted every in-game day?

It's now been 5 days and no new feather has appeared!

Yes, the peafowl has been fed and petted every day since I got it! It has also been happy for as long as possible
