Winter Year 1: No Way to keep Animals Warm?

Hey so I just got to winter on my first farm I have no way to keep my animals warm and they are all in bad moods. I read on Reddit that you need to get the town to level E to unlock the temperature control thing but my town rating is F and I’m no where near improving it. Are my animals just gonna be mad all winter or can I do something to fix this? Any help or tips would be appreciated thanks!

If it’s not there, it’s a bug then. And team will need a screenshot.
It’s not town rank locked, so double check when you’re home. Maybe scroll if it the option? And if it’s not there, post a bug report

Also, I don't think you can put it in a level 1 barn or coop, iirc

So right now I know my barn and coop are only level 1 and my town rank is at F so do I just have just get through winter quick with my animals in a bad mood???

I’m trying to work through the mines in the mean time but I don’t think that’ll raise my town rank that quick

you might have to. I usually have town rank C and level 2 barns and coops by winter, so I'm not sure what happens. they might just be cranky for the winter

Oh okay I’ll try and get my rank up asap then do you have any tips on how to do that?

Clearing the ocean is the easiest way in early game, if you focus on the ocean, you can be rank C by summer

same, I'm usually town rank E before getting animals anyway, so it's hard to remember when stuff unlocks

It’s always my first priority to get animals in a farming game must’ve just gotten my priorities wrong

That and getting the farm as stacked to make the most money then move onto the other stuff

Checked the game, it's indeed missing rank F and present rank E
@unkempt seal You can see in the town rank tab how far are you from rank E, and as piperbird said cleaning ocean is fastest way to gain points and advance town rank

Think last time I checked my town rank was at like 250/400

you honestly can't play this game wrong, if animals are your priority, that's completely fine. honestly, there's not a lot of harm if your animals are cranky all winter, so play however makes you happiest!

You can put it in a lvl 1 barn /coop. I always buy the temp machine with the animals and put it in them.

UPDATE: Went diving for 7 days straight and managed to get to rank E finally haha thank to @sterile cobalt and @vapid crescent again for the tips ❤️
