#Cavern Mobs/Positions and behavior not what was expected.

Mobs (typically the Armulite species) will sometimes appear halfway under the floor, and be invincible, despite the fact that they can still hit the player.
Flying Mobs in the Fire cavern will sometimes be invincible until they agro the player.
Mobs that queue an attack before the player takes out the last of their health will continue the attack even though they should have perished and dropped their loot. i.e. Armulites will pop back up from their death animation to complete their lick attack before falling over again and in a cloud of dust.

If you run into the issue again while playing, could you send us a screenshot or video of it? You can use Steam’s recording feature, or even a phone-recorded video works just fine.

Regarding the Armulite appearing halfway, could you please check the screenshot shared by another player in this thread to see if it matches what you saw?

If so, no worries — that’s actually the intended design for now! Armulites are a burrowing enemy, and using a charged-up weapon or explosives will force them to surface.

Ah yes thats what they're doing. So it's intended for them, then. But what about the invincible bats and wasps in the fire mine? I never had an issue hitting wasps until floor 20 of the fire mine. I didnt even know I could record on steam until tonight so I will try to get footage tomorrow.

As for the invincible mobs. It seems like everything is functioning normally now. yesterday when i was having invincible flyers, they wouldn't notice me until I was standing on top of them for a few seconds. Today, they notice me from far away. Other strange things I recall is that other monsters stagger meter stopped filling. This may have all just been a cache issue and restarting my computer fixed it.

Combat Is on default.
and I have been experiencing being attacked by dead enemies since I first bought the game September 2024, and was the reason why I put it the game down for a while. Because it made the early mines so stressful with the rusty sword.

It wasn't until I got the ring of speed and gold plated hammer that i have had little issue with staying healthy in combat.
