Reproduction Steps 1) Go diving in ocean. 2) Very rarely, but with no obvious cause, instead of Kibble tracking you as he normally does he will shoot upwards in the ocean and start floating well above the players head. 3) Kibble may remain floating up there for several minutes as the player continues removing trash, kelp, and whatever from the ocean floor. 4) Kibble seems to reset finally, if you move your player some distance away from wherever the glitch occurred; when you finally see Kibble say his, "Wait for me" dialog and he races to catch up. 5) Note this is a pretty rare bug, mostly scene - by me at least - in the gold kelp area.

Just to help us get a better understanding, could you let us know if the issue happens at random, at a certain time of day, or after you've been playing or diving for a while? Also, does it seem to depend on which item you're using to clear the trash, like the scythe or Vortexanator?
In addition, could you send your Save File and Backup Files here so we can take a closer look? To retrieve them, you can copy-paste this file path into your Windows Explorer: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames then compress the SaveGames folder into a ZIP file before sending it here. I'm not sure which of these is the saved game file, as I did do another play session later in the day. As to other questions, this is extremely rare and - thus far - only seen in the gold kelp area. Just got the last area (purple kelp) opened up, so not seen there yet. I've only been using the entry level scythe thus far, not yet upgraded to bronze.
