I just bought the game and I am super excited to play it! I'm just not sure if I should wait for the new update or start playing now? Need some advice on that.

you should play now, as we have no idea when the next update will drop. if you decide to wait, you might end up waiting multiple months.

It won’t. So long as you didn’t start dating anyone you’ll be able to see all the events. Once you date you won’t be able to see any events prior even. I think same goes for marriage, if you want to see all the dating events don’t propose till you see them all and then you should be fine
Unless you want to play with other people starting now is not going to affect your gameplay in anyway

soo you think i should just play the game, befriend villagers and just not date them to be able to enjoy the full content of the update? is there like a "at this many hearts its turning into something romantic" or do i have to trigger it somehow and till then, im just friends with villagers? i just really dont want to miss out on any content of the update.

Yup! To officially date there’s an item you have buy and then gift to them but you won’t miss anything at this point I don’t think. If you get to the spooky festival then I would maybe slow down but the costumes being added don’t change anything to the story but it’s up to you!
